It provides users navigable dashboards, drill-downs through data hyperlinking, formulas built away from the user interface, and automatic consolidation. With unlimited users, all team members can access their data, analyze variances, and budget both top-down and bottom-up in a single platform, with secure user permissions to ensure sensitive information is always secure and hidden.

According to the vendor, Budgyt was built by experienced power users looking for a more efficient and insightful approach to budget planning. Their goal was to achieve ease-of-use, speed, and data accuracy to streamline the process, giving companies the power to stay agile and fully prepared for whatever happens next.

We use Budgyt for a large volume of entities in our group of companies. It has saved a considerable amount of time in our combined and consolidated income statement processes. In addition to compiling financial review presentations to our senior leadership team. It has also enabled more transparency to users of the financial statements who are given access to Budgyt to review their entities or departments performance. We are thankful we no longer see the dreaded #REFs in our combined/consolidated workbooks!
  • Combining departments (components of an entity or a component of various entity's income statement) or isolating departments (small slivers) of an entity's income statement. We can look at specific departments of specific entities together, with ease.
  • Splicing / flipping reports into countless formats. Helpful for users of the financial statements that digest data/numbers differently than the financial accountants who prepare the numbers.
  • It is relatively easy to import data from our Jonas accounting program into Budgyt.
  • We've had prompt customer service when we've encountered issues and they were readily available during implementation.
  • The ability to remove %'s entirely from reports, instead of only partially removing %'s from a report.
  • The formulas C2C and FOAs can be confusing to set up. I think more explanative data ---- hovering over question marks alongside cells you must complete as a suggestion --- in this module would be useful. These formulas work great once you trial & error your way into them operating. But we find their initial set-up a time commitment. We don't want to watch how-to videos each time we set them up. The hover/clarifications of what certain cells mean would be very helpful.
Great for an organization with multiple companies and/or multiple departments within the company(s). I'd recommend this program to an organization that has more than 3 separate entities and/or more than 3 departments.
  • Improved financial insights as we can splice the departments from various entities, with ease.
  • We save at least 2-3 business days a month using Budgyt as opposed to Excel to combined and consolidated our income statements.
It's greatly increased my efficiency to combine statements. It has greatly increased my efficiency and effectiveness of my quarterly financial presentations. We used to have senior members of our organization ask for ad-hoc formats that would be manually executed by us in Excel... its rare for these persons to request a format Budgyt doesn't already possess!
We have greatly tailored our Budgyt user's access to the data. They can see components of income statements, entities as a whole, etc. It is relatively easy to tailor their access as well.

We use Budgyt for all of our budget and forecasting needs. Users create what their budget needs are in the software and those requests run through an approval process before they are actually added as a valid item in the budget. We can also run multiple budgets and forecasting scenarios at once which really helps us plan for any possible outcome.

The solution is extremely user-friendly and packed with powerful features such as scenario-based data modeling, segregation capability, Xero integration, SAML 2.0 authentication support, and so on. Aileen Zelekowitz, our implementation consultant, was fantastic throughout the implementation phase, gathering requirements, leading workshops, and assisting us in configuring the system.

I strongly recommend getting their Budgyt Guru support package for the implementation which will make your life easier as they have an awesome team of consultants available to ensure that the customer requirements and expectations are delivered by the time of go-live.

Budgyt helps us create and manage budgets for many departments and/or projects. Budgyt is useful for importing organizational data like trial balances, monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial information. Budgyt allows you to design the pieces of the organization's budget structure, as well as link them hierarchically. The budget is customizable to contain budget formulas, estimate direct and indirect expenses, and operate and non-operating income.

  • Budgyt has some reporting difficulties, and budget data is often tabular in nature, making it difficult to read on small-screen phones.

Budgyt supports forecast types, including balance sheet and cash flow forecasts. Budgyt is an excellent tool for evaluating and revising budget assumptions over time.

SOMN uses Budgyt to budget and forecast monthly. We have 20 budget managers and were looking for a system that was easy to use and understand for our non-financial staff. The information collected within Budgyt is imported seamlessly into our main accounting software and allows budget managers to stay on top of planning and implementation of various activities.
